The rebels have committed extensive war crimes, targeting and murdering civilians on many occasions during the insurgency. [62] But also the Russian government perpetred war crimes. A short video on Telegram allegedly showed one of the Crocus City attackers being tortured by FSB agents, who cut off his ear and forced him to eat it.[63]
