Synopsis[edit]
Set in Stamford, Connecticut, this sitcom follows an upper middle class African American family, led by obnoxious patriarch Michael Kyle Sr., who owns and operates his own trucking company. Michael thinks he commands his family, but his day-trader wife Janet, gangsta rap-worshipping son Michael Jr., and broody daughters: self-centered Claire and his favorite youngest Kady remind him every day that his dream is just... a dream. Despite this, Michael has his own way of knowing his home will be traditional, even if it means domineering his household in an immature, unorthodox, self-absorbed form of discipline for his family.
