Ron W. Miller

Ronald William Miller (April 17, 1933 – February 9, 2019) was an American businessman and professional American football player.[1] He was president and CEO of The Walt Disney Company from 1980 to 1984 and was president of the board of directors of the Walt Disney Family Museum. Miller was the son-in-law of Walt Disney.[2]

Personal life[edit]

As a student-athlete, Miller was introduced to 20-year-old student Diane Disney on a blind date after playing in a football game. They married in a small Episcopal church ceremony in Santa Barbara on May 9, 1954.[10]


Miller died from congestive heart failure at the age of 85 in Napa, California on February 9, 2019.[11]
