Donald Runnicles

Sir Donald Cameron Runnicles OBE HonFRSE (born 16 November 1954, Edinburgh, Scotland) is a Scottish conductor.

Honours and awards[edit]

Runnicles holds honorary doctorates from the University of Edinburgh and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (conferred in February 2011).[28] In 2019, Runnicles was elected an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.[29] Runnicles was knighted in the 2020 Birthday Honours for services to music.[30][31]
